Microsoft Scam

If "Microsoft" calls you, stating your computer has been hacked, and they need to take control of your computer; understand this is a scam. I've had numerous people call me at work, and personally, asking about this, (many of them very educated and accomplished people). Some have let them take control of their computers, some have gone as far as to provide their credit card numbers. Firstly, as soon as they have control of your computer, you're infected with a virus, and will probably have to spend +- $100 getting it cleaned. Secondly, if you gave them your credit card number, you're instantly out $300-600, later to find they've taken everything. Please share this with anyone and everyone you can. Recent activity suggests they're attacking the 334 area code.
